Elaine Hayes passed away with her immediate family by her side at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma, Washington on July 14, 2011. We all miss her: Mother, Wife, Sister, and Friend to all that she touched. She lived in California through her college graduation in 1988, then moved to Littleton, Colorado where she met her loving husband Donald Patrick Hayes. Their careers were mobile and they had the pleasure of living in Steamboat Springs, Carbondale and Salida. In 1996 their son Sean Patrick Hayes was born in Leadville. In 1998 they moved to the four-corners area to Bayfield, Colorado. They left for Lena, Wisconsin in 2005 to a beautiful farm house, and in the past few years migrated to the west coast via Delta, CO arriving in Buckley, Washington in 2010. This current home is the joyful landing spot for Elaine and Don who were excited to get back to the Pacific Ocean and share with their son Sean. Mt. Ranier is the backdoor for the Hayes Family. Elaine has always pursued her nursing career to include excellence, care and continued learning and growth. Her ambition was to share her knowledge and challenge her students and co-workers to provide the best care. The recent results of her dedication was the successful opening of the Enumclaw St. Elizabeth's in February. Our mother's name was Elizabeth... a special person in her heart. With her departure there have been hundreds of friends as well as family who feel the loss of this wonderful woman. This site is for all those who knew her to share their condolences along with the happy memories of Elaine. Elaine could smile and laugh in any situation and bring light to any pressing moment. Remember her in butterflies and rainbows - signs of joy and laughter. She would want us to be happy... All my love to her and her immediate family: Don & Sean Hayes * * * Leslie & Don Holland * * * and my husband Dennis Ceragioli
