When Elaine left us on July 14th, she left a puzzle for the neurology ICU team: Why? She is a teacher - and she left a final exam for her colleagues. This week of September 16th - we have finally received word from the autopsy that the cause is unknown. Encephalitis is noted for the cause of death. The mystery behind her passing is a closed case. Her spirit is with us and we will move on and heal with this great loss. I look at my cell phone and see all the calls, voicemails and text messages from her and know that they are a part of the memories of being in constant touch with her. Knowing how much I miss her, I can only imagine Don & Sean getting through each day by day… For all that feel our grief - thanks for being a part of a large circle of friends and family. Elaine is smiling over us - glad we are there for each other.
